Xue Tan Appointed Chief Curator of Munich’s Haus der Kunst

Xue Tan, the esteemed curator currently leading the acclaimed programming at Hong Kong’s Tai Kwun Contemporary center, is set to join the esteemed staff of Germany’s renowned Haus der Kunst in Munich.

As the current senior curator at Tai Kwun Contemporary, Tan has garnered international recognition for her exceptional exhibition programming since the center’s inception in 2018. Her curated shows, featuring artists such as Cao Fei, Maria Hassabi, and Tino Sehgal, have attracted widespread acclaim, establishing Tai Kwun Contemporary as a leading institution in the Hong Kong art scene.

In her new role as chief curator of Haus der Kunst, Tan brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise in the Asian region, as highlighted by director Andrea Lissoni. Tan’s deep knowledge and extensive background make her an ideal candidate to lead the institution’s artistic vision and programming.
