Kara NasvigTumi, the U.S. luggage maker, has unveiled South Korean actress Mun Ka Young as its newest global brand ambassador, with Mun taking the spotlight in the campaign for its latest ‘Asra’ collection.
Directed by C Prinz and captured by photographer Bibi Cornejo Borthwick, the campaign showcases Mun with her Asra bag, navigating through a timeless, museum-like architectural setting.
Expressing her excitement, Mun stated, “I’m honored to be the face of Tumi’s new Asra handbag collection. I’ve long been a fan of Tumi, and I’m thrilled that they’re exploring fresh silhouettes. Beauty and versatility are a big part of my life, and with Tumi, these bags are a perfect fit for every journey.”
The Asra collection marks an expansion of Tumi’s women’s product range, offering three different sizes and four color options – including Tumi’s signature matte black alongside seasonal hues like moonlight, cameo rose, and purple sunset.
Each Asra bag features pleating for a soft structure, complemented by coordinating hardware and a knotted shoulder strap. Additional details include an exterior microfiber-lined pocket and an optional leather monogram charm.
Jill Krizelman, Tumi’s senior vice president of marketing and e-commerce, expressed enthusiasm for the collection’s launch, stating, “Tumi is thrilled to expand our women’s offerings with the launch of Asra, demonstrating how we offer more than just state-of-the-art luggage. We have accessories and beautiful products that serve as the perfect complement to a busy lifestyle.”
Mun’s appointment as Tumi’s global ambassador reflects the brand’s vision of the empowered, confident woman. Her partnership with Tumi was commemorated with a global event in Singapore.
The Asra collection is priced between $350 and $495 and is available both online and in-store at Tumi locations worldwide.
